Testing regularly may find colorectal, breast, and cervical cancer early when it’s easier to treat.
Breast cancer screenings check a women’s breast for cancer before there are signs or symptoms of the disease. It is recommended to speak with your healthcare provider about your testing options and when you should test. You can also do your own examination at home by being familiar with how your breasts look and feel. You can help notice symptoms such as lumps, pain, or changes in size of concern. When you notice these symptoms, contact your healthcare provider.
Cervical cancer screenings such as the HPV test and Pap can help prevent cervical cancer or find it early. Both can be done in a clinic (link to OB/GYN location page). The HPV tests for the virus that causes cell change on the cervix. The Pap test for precancers and cell changes on the cervix that might become cancer, if not treated. It is recommended to be tested at age 21 and older. Ask your healthcare provider about what testing option is best for you.

Colorectal cancer screening is recommended for people aged 45 and older. Some need to test earlier if they have: Inflammatory bowel disease, a family history of colorectal cancer or polyps, and/or FAP or Lynch syndrome. Colorectal cancer screenings can find precancerous polyps before they turn into cancer. Treatment works best when cancer is found early. You can be screened in the clinic or ask about an at-home screening kit, to do it in the comfort of your own home. Speak with your healthcare provider about your screening options and when you should be screened.
