Missouri Highlands Community Cares Day
Join us on August 30, 2024, from 10 AM to 1 PM for Missouri Highlands Community Cares Day as we raise awareness for International Overdose Awareness Day! Our goal is to address and lessen the burden of social determinants of health that often lead to substance misuse and increase the risk of opiate overdose.
Why This Matters:
Social determinants of health, such as access to nutritious food, secure housing, and proper medical care, are crucial for the overall well-being of individuals and communities. By addressing these factors, we can help reduce the likelihood of substance misuse and ultimately decrease the incidence of opiate overdose. Providing resources and support to those in need can significantly impact their lives and improve community health.
