Missouri Highlands Health Care is honored to celebrate 50 years of service to our rural communities, and we are incredibly grateful for the recognition we recently received from Senator Burger in the form of an official resolution in our honor. This acknowledgment highlights the dedication, hard work, and commitment of our team in providing quality healthcare to those who need it most.
Our Roots: Then & Now
Some may remember us as Big Springs Medical Association, established in 1975 with our first three clinics in Van Buren, Ellington, and Eminence. What started as a small, community-focused organization has grown into a healthcare network that reaches thousands of individuals across multiple locations. Our mission has remained the same—to ensure that rural healthcare thrives and that no one is left without access to the care they deserve.
Honoring Our Team & Community
This milestone is not just about our organization—it’s about you. Our patients, our staff, and our communities have been the foundation of everything we do. We are beyond grateful for the support, trust, and partnerships that have made our growth possible.

Looking Ahead to the Next 50 Years
As we reflect on the past five decades, we also look forward to the future with excitement. Rural healthcare is a critical part of our region, and we remain dedicated to keeping it strong for generations to come. Our mission is simple: to bring quality, affordable healthcare to those who need it the most.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to another 50 years of making a difference!
